Susan and I were married two days ago, on the 4th of July, the anniversary of Susan's parents' wedding.
My family is mostly local in the Houston area, but Susan's family traveled here from the suburbs of Des Moines, Iowa.
They were here for two days before the wedding, and two days after.
We took them to see the house we're renovating in the East End Historical District in Galveston, Texas.
They asked us to blog about the progress as a way to keep the family updated, but we thought we'd, instead, try to write an interesting telling of the whole process, so that other first time renovators might enjoy it.
We'll try to both tell the story from our own perspective, which no doubt, will result in different views of how it's going.
